How to deal with a problematic teacher?

I know that in some years in school, I had issues with my teachers. They either weren’t helpful, or they came across as a total mess. You ask them a question and they expect you to come up with answers after they yell at you. They don’t understand you, the other students, or the parents.

Luckily, these teachers most likely will not make it past five years, and if they’re that bad, not even two. I’ve been a student of many of these teachers, some just can’t mentally deal with a large group of kids and don’t realize that until the first week on the job. Others just don’t flat out want to be there and took it as a last option. To become a teacher these days, all you need is a degree, pretty much the reason why there just isn’t enough good educators out there today.

My advice to those that come across these teachers is to just try and deal with them. The ones who have been there for twelve years are there for a reason. They have proven that they can deal with you, teach you at the government standards, and help you get to the next level. Yes, many of them are strict, but they have to be that way, otherwise you end up being irresponsible and lazy later on in your life. Being pushed a little helps, trust me.

Most likely the other teachers will get frustrated with these teachers anyway, I’ve seen backstabbing going on between some, so trust me, I know. You’ll only have them for one year anyway, so it’s best to just get on with life and focus on doing your best. You’re there to learn, not to say you have the best teacher who lets you do whatever you want. Those teachers don’t tend to last either, mind you.
